Hi, I'm Kate Madders
Thanks for being here. I’m a marketing professional with over five years’ experience.
EMPLOYMENT
I started my journey with The Big Issue in London developing their e-commerce platform and subscription model. From there I moved to their sister company; Big Issue Invest, a financier that backs social enterprises. While I was there, I was the marketing lead on the Corporate Social Venturing programme which paired start up social enterprises with corporate entities. When I returned to Ireland, I pivoted into digital marketing and worked with a leading marketing agency in the South East, Passion for Creative. Currently, I am the Digital Marketing Lead at Glasnevin Cemetery. It has been an interesting journey.

INTERESTS
Personally, I am very interested in seeing the world, to date I have lived in six countries although my travelling stints these days are a lot shorter. I love to read and I am constantly trying to find the discipline to consume more books – print versions for me, no offence Kindle. I have recently become a volunteer tutor with Fighting Words, a non-profit that aims to open up creativity to all groups in society via the facilitation of creative writing and design workshops. I’m from a family of foodies and eaters and that shows in my passion for cooking. I have delved into a bit of a mindfulness journey but don’t worry if we do end up working together, I’m not going to chant at you, I’ll just be calm, professional and hopefully an appropriate amount of craic.
